Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This black full length mirror arch combines a clean, modern steel frame with a heritage-inspired scalloped crown that lifts it well beyond ordinary floor mirrors. A steady performer in our full length mirrors line-up — chosen repeatedly by customers looking for something architectural yet unfussy.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel finished in a smooth matte black coating, kept deliberately slender at roughly 2.5 cm wide so the mirror glass remains the focal point. The silhouette is what sets this piece apart: a tall rectangular body rises to a softly pointed arch, flanked by two symmetrical scallops that reference Moorish archways. The result is a profile with genuine character — architectural enough to hold a wall on its own, yet restrained enough to sit alongside contemporary furniture without competing. The glass is clear and unadorned, without bevelling, giving a crisp, true reflection across the full surface. A plastic sheet backing board protects the rear, and the back panel is finished entirely in black for a tidy appearance if any edge is visible when leaning.
Size & Placement
At 200 cm tall and 85 cm wide, this is a genuinely large arch mirror — tall enough for a head-to-toe reflection while remaining narrow enough for spaces where width is limited. Indoors, we often suggest this for hallways, bedrooms, and dressing areas where a full-length black wall mirror can anchor the room without eating into floor space. The flat bottom edge means it leans securely against a wall, propped on a hard floor or a low-pile rug. If you prefer a fixed installation, it wall-mounts in portrait orientation using two keyhole brackets on the back.
Because this mirror is rated for outdoor use, it also works brilliantly in the garden — mounted on a fence panel, rendered wall, or courtyard boundary to reflect greenery and create the illusion of depth. In our experience, a tall outdoor mirror like this transforms a compact patio or side return by bouncing light back into shaded corners. At 25 kg, it has the heft to feel substantial and stable once positioned.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror comes with two keyhole fixings on the reverse, so installation is straightforward: drive two screws into the wall at the correct spacing and hook the mirror over them. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included — choose fixings appropriate to your wall type (solid masonry, brick, plasterboard over stud, or timber fence). For a mirror of this weight, we recommend heavy-duty wall plugs rated for at least 30 kg per point on masonry, or toggle bolts on stud walls. Enlist a second person when lifting and positioning — at two metres tall, it is easier and safer with four hands. If mounting outdoors, stainless-steel or zinc-plated screws will resist corrosion over time. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror.
