Gothic charm, rain or shine
This decorative wall mirror draws on the elegant proportions of a gothic lancet window, its slender arch silhouette lending a sense of height and drama wherever you place it. Part of our Arscott Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our garden customers — and it is easy to see why once it is catching light against a fence or stone wall.
Design & Materials
The frame is built from steel with a beautifully weathered, rustic brown finish that blends dark umber tones with hints of verdigris and natural patina. Divided into multiple panes by slender glazing bars, the design echoes a traditional church window — three pointed arches at the top give way to rectangular panels below, creating a layered, architectural look. Each pane holds a clear mirror panel, and the whole piece is backed with a plastic sheet board for weather resistance. At just 2.5 cm wide, the frame keeps the focus on the reflected view rather than the surround, making this metal garden wall art as much about the illusion of depth as it is about decoration.
Size & Placement
Measuring 100 cm high by 24 cm wide, this is a deliberately narrow mirror — a shape we reach for when the aim is to add vertical interest without taking up much wall space. In the garden, it works beautifully hung on a timber fence, shed door, or rendered wall, where it will bounce light and greenery back into the space. Indoors, the same proportions suit a slim hallway, a gap between shelving, or a feature grouping alongside other metal wall garden pieces. Because the base is flat, you could also lean it against a wall at ground level among potted plants for a relaxed, layered arrangement. At 10 kg it has a reassuring solidity without being unwieldy, and the rustic finish pairs naturally with exposed brick, natural stone, or dark-stained timber.
Hanging & Installation
On the back you will find two keyhole fixings, so hanging is straightforward: drive two screws into the wall at the correct spacing and hook the mirror on. No string, wire, or chain is needed — in our experience, keyhole slots give a much more stable result on a piece this shape. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings appropriate to your wall type — standard plugs for masonry, or suitable anchors if you are fixing into a timber fence or stud wall. At 10 kg, one person can manage the lift, though a second pair of hands makes levelling easier.
