Built for the garden, loved indoors too
This gothic arch mirror draws its shape from traditional church window architecture, with a graceful pointed crown and decorative lancet tracery that sets it apart from standard arched designs. Part of our Arscott Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our garden and hallway customers.
Design & Materials
The frame is crafted from steel with a deliberately weathered finish — a cool grey base layered with patches of warm gold-toned patina that catch the light and lend an aged, found-object quality. The surface is not uniform; in our experience, that unevenness is exactly what gives this style its character. Below the pointed arch, the glass is divided by slender metal glazing bars into a grid of rectangular panes, topped by a trio of gothic lancet sections with interlocking diamond motifs. The glass itself is clear and un-bevelled, keeping reflections sharp and the overall look clean. A plastic sheet backing board protects the rear of each pane, adding a layer of weather resistance that makes this mirror suitable for outdoor use.
Size & Placement
At 161 cm tall and 72 cm wide, this is a full length large mirror for wall display that delivers real visual impact without overwhelming the space around it. The narrow 72 cm width means it fits comfortably on a garden wall between planting beds or against a brick pier, where it reflects greenery and creates an illusion of depth — a trick we often suggest for smaller courtyard gardens. Indoors, a grey full length wall mirror of this stature works beautifully at the end of a hallway, in a living room beside a bookcase, or leaned against a bedroom wall. The flat base allows you to rest it on the floor for a relaxed leaner look, while the arch window mirror silhouette pairs naturally with both rustic interiors and more contemporary schemes. If your décor already features industrial metal finishes or reclaimed wood furniture, the tonal blend of grey and gold will sit right in.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror comes with two keyhole fixings on the back, so you simply hook it onto two screws set at the correct spacing — no wire, string, or chain should be used. At 24 kg, this is a substantial piece; we recommend a two-person lift when positioning it on the wall. Use fixings appropriate to your wall type — heavy-duty rawl plugs and coach screws for masonry, or toggle bolts for stud walls — and ensure both fixing points share the load evenly. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included. If you prefer the leaner approach, rest the flat base on the floor and tilt the top gently against the wall; a small anti-slip pad underneath will stop any movement on hard flooring.
