Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This extra large outdoor garden mirror is one of our most popular leaner mirrors — and it is easy to see why. At 200 × 120 cm, it delivers genuine visual impact whether mounted on a garden wall, propped against a fence, or used as a statement piece inside the house. The clean, grid-style design draws the eye while reflecting light and greenery back into your space.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel with a smooth black finish, divided into eighteen individual panes arranged in a three-by-six grid. In our experience, this Crittall-inspired window layout is one of the most effective ways to add architectural interest to a plain wall. Each pane sits within slim metal bars approximately 2.5 cm wide, giving the piece the appearance of a factory window without adding unnecessary bulk. The glass is clear and unembellished — no bevel — so reflections stay crisp and undistorted. A plastic sheet backing board protects the rear, adding a layer of weather resistance for outdoor placement. The overall aesthetic is industrial and modern, making it a natural pairing with exposed brick, rendered garden walls, or contemporary interiors finished in neutral tones.
Size & Placement
At 200 cm tall and 120 cm wide, this is a genuinely extra large rectangular wall mirror — large enough to transform a garden courtyard or fill a feature wall in a living room or hallway. Hung in portrait orientation outdoors, it creates the illusion of a second window looking into a neighbouring garden, bouncing light into shaded corners and making compact spaces feel significantly more open. Flip it to landscape and it works beautifully above a long sideboard or console table indoors. Because the base is flat, you can also lean it against a wall as a full-length floor mirror — a style we see chosen most often for bedrooms and dressing areas. At 3.5 cm deep and 20 kg, it sits close to the wall without protruding into the room. If you plan to use it outdoors year-round, position it where it won’t catch the worst of direct rainfall; while the steel frame and plastic backing are weather-tolerant, a sheltered spot will keep it looking its best for longer.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror has four keyhole fixings on the back, allowing you to hang it in either portrait or landscape orientation. Position your wall screws to line up with the centre of each corresponding keyhole, then hook the mirror on. At 20 kg, we recommend a two-person lift during installation and fixings rated for your wall type — heavy-duty rawl plugs for masonry, or appropriate stud fixings for plasterboard. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror; the keyhole system is designed to carry the load directly against the wall.
