Two metres of impact
This extra large round gold wall mirror 200cm x 200cm is monumental in scale and commands attention wherever it is placed. A recent addition to our Watchet Collection range, it was chosen for its ability to combine clean, modern lines with genuine outdoor durability — qualities that rarely come together at this size.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from powder-coated steel finished in a warm, matte gold tone. From the close-up images you can see the finish has a smooth, lightly satin quality — not overly shiny, but rich enough to catch the light and stand out against brick, render, or dark foliage. A simple cross-bar divides the mirror glass into four quadrants, giving this extra large round gold mirror its distinctive window-pane silhouette. The bars sit flush with the outer frame for a streamlined profile roughly 2.5 cm wide. Behind the glass, a plastic sheet backing board protects the reflective coating from moisture — an essential detail for any mirror rated for outdoor placement. The glass itself is clear and un-bevelled, delivering bright, undistorted reflections that bounce light and greenery back into the garden.
Size & Placement
At 200 cm in diameter, this is a genuinely oversized piece — taller than most adults. In a garden setting, we recommend mounting it on a solid brick or stone wall where it can reflect hedging, planting, or sky to create the illusion of a circular window opening onto a second garden. Customers tend to pair this with low topiary or large planters positioned at the base to ground the mirror and soften the transition between frame and wall. Indoors, it works as a large round gold wall mirror for double-height hallways, barn conversions, or commercial spaces such as hotel lobbies and restaurant feature walls where dramatic scale is the goal. Because it weighs 50 kg and measures two metres across, check that your intended wall area is clear of obstructions, light fittings, and downpipes before committing to a position.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror has two keyhole fixings on the back, so you simply hook it onto two screws driven into the wall at the correct spacing. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included — use fixings appropriate for your wall type. For a solid masonry wall, heavy-duty expanding anchors rated for at least 30 kg each are advisable. At 50 kg, this is very much a two-person installation; we would suggest a third pair of hands to hold the mirror steady while the second person guides it onto the fixings. If mounting onto timber framing or stud walls, ensure both screws anchor into solid studs rather than plasterboard alone.
