Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This gold arch window mirror brings the classic appeal of a Georgian fanlight to any wall it graces. Part of our Barrington Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our garden and living-space customers, it pairs a generous landscape format with a warm gold metal frame divided into eighteen panes for genuine architectural impact.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel finished in a smooth, satin-sheen gold that catches the light without appearing overly glossy. Eighteen individual mirror panels are set within the grid, separated by slim bars roughly 2.5 cm wide, replicating the look of a traditional arched windowpane. The glass is clear and unbevelled, giving a clean reflection across each pane. A plastic sheet backing board protects the rear, and gold-toned keyhole brackets add a neat finishing detail. The overall effect sits comfortably between industrial and decorative — a gold metal arch mirror that works alongside exposed brick, dark-painted feature walls, or weathered garden stone with equal ease.
Size & Placement
At 75 cm tall and 110 cm wide, this is a substantial landscape piece — wide enough to anchor a wall above a console table, sideboard, or mantelpiece without overwhelming the surrounding space. In our experience, a mirror of this width looks best centred on a wall section at least 140 cm across, giving the frame room to breathe. Because it is rated for outdoor use, it is equally effective mounted on a garden wall or fence where it can reflect planting and sky, creating the illusion of an extra window. The flat bottom edge means you could also lean it on a sturdy shelf or mantel for a relaxed, unfixed look. Weighing 10 kg, it is solid enough to feel well-made yet light enough that a single bracket pair holds it securely.
Hanging & Installation
Two keyhole fixings are pre-fitted to the back, so hanging is straightforward: mark your wall, drive in two screws at the correct spacing, and hook the mirror into place. Do not use string, wire, or chain — the keyhole brackets are designed for direct wall mounting. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included; choose fixings appropriate for your wall type (masonry anchors for brick or stone, heavy-duty plasterboard fixings for stud walls). Given the 110 cm width, having a second pair of hands to hold the mirror while you check alignment will make the job quicker and more accurate.
