Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This vintage arch wall mirror is a consistent bestseller in our garden mirrors range. Its broad, horizontal arch profile and weathered metal frame create the illusion of looking through an old factory window — a look that adds instant depth and texture to any wall, whether it’s a sun-drenched patio or a cosy living room.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel with a hand-applied rustic finish that blends warm copper, burnt amber, and dark charcoal tones. Up close you can see the deliberate patina — mottled and slightly uneven, as though the metal has aged naturally over decades. Eighteen individual mirror panes sit within the grid of slim metal glazing bars, replicating the look of a vintage industrial window. Each pane is clear, un-bevelled glass backed by a plastic sheet board, keeping weight manageable while offering weather resistance for outdoor use. The overall aesthetic is firmly industrial yet warm enough to complement modern, vintage, or decorative interiors without clashing.
Size & Placement
At 90 cm wide and 56 cm tall, this is a landscape-oriented arch — broader than it is tall — which makes it a natural choice above a mantelpiece, console table, or garden bench. In our experience, this wider format works particularly well as an overmantle mirror in rooms where a portrait shape would feel too narrow. Outdoors, mount it on a rendered wall, fence panel, or brick boundary to reflect greenery and open up a compact courtyard. It weighs just 5 kg, so most garden walls handle it comfortably. The flat base also means you can lean it on a shelf or ledge if you prefer not to drill. As a metal arch wall mirror suitable for both indoor and outdoor settings, it bridges the gap between garden wall art and interior décor — customers tend to pair this with trailing plants or candle sconces for added warmth.
Hanging & Installation
Two keyhole fixings are fitted to the back, so hanging is straightforward: simply mark your wall, drive in two screws at the correct spacing, and hook the mirror on. Do not use string, wire, or chain — the keyhole slots are designed for a direct screw mount. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included; choose fixings appropriate to your wall type. For masonry or rendered garden walls, standard 6 mm rawl plugs with No. 8 screws will do the job. For plasterboard indoors, use cavity fixings rated for at least 10 kg to allow a comfortable safety margin. At 5 kg, this vintage metal wall mirror is light enough for one person to lift and position, though a second pair of hands makes levelling quicker.
