Built for the garden, loved indoors too
This round decorative wall mirror pairs an industrial window grid with a richly textured rustic frame, creating a piece that draws the eye whether it’s mounted on a garden wall or hung above a console table. Part of our Barrington Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our garden and outdoor customers.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel with a hand-finished, distressed patina that shifts between warm copper-brown and darker oxidised tones — look closely and you’ll catch subtle hints of verdigris green along the edges. It’s a finish that reads as genuinely aged rather than factory-perfect, giving the mirror real character from the moment it arrives. The grid overlay divides the glass into a series of rectangular panes, echoing the look of a traditional round window. Behind the clear mirror glass sits a plastic sheet backing board that adds rigidity and helps protect the silvering, while keeping overall weight to a manageable 5 kg.
In our experience, this style of round metal window mirror sits comfortably alongside both industrial and vintage interiors — exposed brick, reclaimed wood shelving, and dark metal light fittings all complement its weathered warmth. Outdoors, the rustic tones blend naturally with brick, timber fencing, and planted borders.
Size & Placement
At 80 cm in both height and width, this is a generously sized decorative round mirror without being overwhelming. On a garden wall or fence, it acts as a focal point that reflects greenery and sky, making compact courtyards and patio areas feel noticeably more open. We often suggest mounting it centrally on a garden wall surrounded by climbing plants — the contrast between organic foliage and the geometric metal grid is striking. Grouping two or three together along a longer wall creates real impact, as the customer photos show.
Indoors, it works well above a sideboard or hallway console where you want a statement piece rather than a simple functional mirror. The frame depth is a slim 1.5 cm, so it sits close to the wall without protruding. Because this is rated for indoor and outdoor use, you can move it between spaces seasonally — bring it inside during winter or let it weather gracefully year-round.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror comes fitted with two keyhole fixings on the back, so installation is straightforward: simply drive two screws into your wall at the correct spacing and hook the mirror over them. At 5 kg it’s light enough for one person to hang, though having a second pair of hands makes levelling easier. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included — choose fixings appropriate for your wall type, whether that’s masonry anchors for a brick garden wall or plasterboard fixings for an interior stud wall. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror; the keyhole brackets are designed to carry the load directly.
