Warmth and character in solid oak
This round oak wall mirror pairs a generous 100 cm diameter with the quiet warmth of a segmented solid oak frame. A steady performer in our Wall Mirrors line-up — chosen repeatedly by customers looking for a natural timber finish that slots into both modern and wooden-style schemes.
Design & Materials
The frame is crafted from blocks of solid oak, joined in a segmented pattern that allows the natural grain to shift direction around the circumference. Up close, the variation in tone and figuring gives each mirror its own character — no two are identical. The timber has a smooth, lightly sealed finish that sits between natural and satin, letting the oak’s honey-to-straw colour palette come through without a heavy lacquer sheen. At roughly 3.5 cm wide, the frame is substantial enough to read as a defined border without competing with the glass. The mirror itself is clear, flat, and unembellished — no bevel — so reflections stay crisp and undistorted. In our experience, that clean edge combined with a tactile natural frame is what gives an oak framed round mirror its versatility: it reads as modern or rustic depending entirely on the room around it.
Size & Placement
At 100 cm across, this is a large round wooden wall mirror that commands attention without overwhelming a wall. It sits comfortably above a standard sideboard or console table in a hallway, and in a living room it makes an excellent focal point over a media unit or sofa — the lifestyle image shows it doing exactly that against a mid-blue wall, where the light oak frame lifts the whole space. If you have a dining area with a blank wall, a round wall mirror with a wooden frame at this scale adds depth and light without the formality of a rectangular piece. The 4.8 cm depth is worth noting if your wall space is tight — slim enough for a corridor, but deep enough to give the frame a satisfying three-dimensional profile when light catches it from the side. Because the piece weighs 10 kg, it feels reassuringly solid on the wall once fixed.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror arrives fitted with four D-loop fixings on the back, positioned so you can hang it in your preferred orientation. Position your wall screws to line up with the centre of the corresponding D-loops, then hang the mirror directly — do not use string, wire, or chain. At 10 kg, this is comfortably a two-person hang: one to hold the mirror in place while the other marks the fixing points. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings appropriate to your wall type — plasterboard anchors for stud walls, or masonry plugs for brick and block.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
