This full length wooden framed mirror pairs a generous 172 × 81 cm profile with a solid hardwood frame stained in a deep, warm oak tone. Drawn from our Sandford Collection — a line we return to often when customers ask for understated timber mirrors — it brings a quiet, natural presence to bedrooms, hallways, and dressing areas alike.
Design & Materials
The frame is built from solid hardwood with a flat, clean-edged profile approximately 3 cm wide. A dark oak stain has been applied in a way that lets the wood’s natural grain pattern read clearly — you can see the cathedral arches and tighter striations of the timber shifting across each section of the frame. The finish sits somewhere between satin and natural, with a soft sheen rather than a high-gloss lacquer, giving it a tactile, lived-in quality that suits both modern and more traditional settings. The mirror glass is clear and unembellished — no bevel — keeping the overall look plain and honest. If your room already leans toward wooden furniture and neutral tones, this wood framed mirror full length style slots in without competing for attention.
Size & Placement
At 172 cm tall and 81 cm wide, this large wooden full length mirror gives you a comfortable head-to-toe reflection while remaining proportionate on most walls. In our experience, this size works particularly well in a bedroom beside a wardrobe or chest of drawers, or at the end of a landing where it catches and redistributes natural light. The flat bottom means it can lean securely against a wall as a floor mirror — a style we see chosen most often for bedrooms and dressing rooms where a relaxed, unfussy look is the goal. Hung in landscape above a console table or sideboard, it doubles as an oversized rectangular wall mirror that opens up a narrower space. At 24 kg it has a reassuring solidity, so factor that in when choosing your wall position.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror arrives fitted with four D-loops on the back of the frame, positioned so you can hang it in either portrait or landscape orientation. Line your wall screws up with the centre of the corresponding D-loops and hang the mirror directly — do not use string, wire, or chain. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings appropriate to your wall type: standard plugs for solid masonry, or specialist plasterboard anchors for stud walls. Given the 24 kg weight, we’d strongly recommend a two-person lift when positioning, and checking that your fixings are rated well above the mirror’s weight for a secure hold.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
