This wood full length wall mirror brings a grounded, rustic warmth that works with both country and contemporary interiors. Part of our Sandford Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our hallway and bedroom customers.
Design & Materials
The frame is built from solid hardwood planks, each showing genuine grain texture, natural knots, and tonal variation in a deep, warm brown stain. Rather than a uniform factory finish, the wood retains its character — visible grain lines, occasional darker patches around knot clusters, and softly rounded edges that catch the light. The frame profile is wide and flat at roughly 3 cm deep, giving the mirror a reassuring heft and a chunky, tactile presence on the wall. Behind the glass sits a wood-based backing board for rigidity. The mirror glass itself is clear and unembellished — no bevel, no antiquing — keeping the focus on the natural timber surround.
Size & Placement
At 179 cm tall and 87 cm wide, this is a large wooden full length mirror that gives you a head-to-toe reflection without consuming an entire wall. In portrait, it leans comfortably against a bedroom or dressing-room wall — the flat bottom sits flush on the floor, so it stays steady without additional support. Wall-mounted in portrait, it makes a striking addition to a hallway or landing where a full-length view is most useful. Flip it to landscape and you have a generous wood framed mirror for above a sideboard, console table, or mantelpiece, where its proportions sit naturally above longer furniture pieces. A rectangular full length wall mirror of this size also works well in boutique retail or salon settings where clients need a clear, full-body view. We often suggest this for rooms that already feature exposed timber, leather, or stone — materials that echo the frame’s earthy palette.
Hanging & Installation
Four D-loops are pre-fitted to the back of the frame, positioned for both portrait and landscape hanging. Simply align your wall screws with the centre of each D-loop and hang the mirror directly — no wire, string, or chain is needed or recommended. At 40 kg, this is a heavy piece; we recommend a two-person lift when positioning it, and you should ensure your fixings are rated for the wall type. For solid masonry, standard rawl plugs and screws will do; for stud or plasterboard walls, use specialist plasterboard anchors or fix directly into the studs. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
