This oak framed full length mirror pairs a clean rectangular silhouette with the warmth of natural solid oak, creating a piece that feels quietly refined in any room. A recent addition to our Oakhill Collection range, chosen for its pared-back Scandinavian character and genuine timber frame.
Design & Materials
The frame is crafted from solid oak left in its natural state — not painted, not stained — so the open grain, honey-blonde tone, and occasional tonal variation are all part of the material’s honest character. At roughly 3.5 cm wide, the profile is slim yet substantial enough to give the mirror a defined edge without competing with the glass. The corners are gently rounded rather than sharp, lending the whole piece a softer, modern feel. A clear protective finish seals the timber and gives it a subtle low sheen, somewhere between matte and satin, that highlights the wood grain without a heavy lacquer look. The glass itself is plain, unbevelled, and distortion-free — a large, clear reflective surface set within the frame.
Size & Placement
At 170 cm tall and 58 cm wide, this full length oak framed mirror is tall enough for a head-to-toe reflection while remaining narrow enough to tuck beside a wardrobe, inside a dressing room alcove, or against a hallway wall without dominating the space. In our experience, a free standing full length mirror of this proportion works especially well in bedrooms where you want everyday practicality without visual bulk. The natural oak frame sits comfortably alongside mid-century furniture, Japandi-inspired interiors, and light Scandi schemes, but it also provides a tonal counterpoint in rooms with cooler greys or whites. Because the base is flat, you can lean it securely against a wall at a gentle angle — a relaxed, editorial look that large wooden full length mirrors carry particularly well.
Hanging & Installation
This mirror arrives with a hinged easel stand attached to the rear, so you can position it as a free standing piece straight out of the box. If you later decide to wall-hang it in portrait orientation, the stand unscrews easily; you can then fit keyhole plates or D-loop fixings to the back for a secure wall mount. At 10 kg, the mirror is manageable for two people to move and position, though we recommend a second pair of hands for unpacking. If wall-mounting on plasterboard, use appropriate cavity fixings rated for the weight; solid masonry walls will accept standard screws and plugs.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
