Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This large gold oval wall mirror makes an immediate impression. Standing 200 cm tall in a slender gold-finished steel frame, its elongated elliptical silhouette draws the eye upward and gives any wall — inside or out — a striking focal point. A recent addition to our Ovalton Collection range, it was chosen for its clean proportions and the versatility of an indoor-outdoor rating.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel with a smooth, satin-gold finish that catches the light without appearing brassy. At roughly 2.5 cm wide, the profile is deliberately slim, keeping the emphasis on the generous mirror glass rather than the surround. The result is a modern, pared-back aesthetic that complements both contemporary and industrial interiors. A plastic sheet backing board protects the rear, adding rigidity while keeping the overall depth to just 3.5 cm. The glass itself is clear and unadorned — no bevel, no antiquing — so reflections stay crisp and true. Up close, the frame edge has a subtle stepped detail that adds a touch of refinement without over-complicating the design.
Size & Placement
At 200 × 112 cm, this is an extra large oval mirror that delivers genuine full-length reflection. In our experience, a mirror of this scale works best on a wall with at least two metres of clear height — think a hallway landing, a dining-room feature wall, or a spacious living area where you want to bounce natural light deeper into the room. Because it is rated for outdoor use, it is equally suited to a sheltered garden wall or courtyard, where it can open up a smaller space and reflect greenery back into the setting. Customers tend to pair this with warm timber furniture or raw-brick backdrops, where the gold frame picks up earthy tones without clashing. If you are after a large wall mirror in gold for a commercial space — a restaurant foyer or boutique hotel lobby — the generous proportions deliver real visual impact.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror is fitted with two keyhole fixings on the back, so it hooks directly onto two screws in the wall — no wire, string, or chain should be used. At 25 kg, we recommend two people for lifting and positioning. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included; use fixings appropriate to your wall type (solid masonry, plasterboard with specialist anchors, or brick). For an outdoor installation, stainless-steel or brass screws will resist corrosion better than standard zinc-plated fixings. Ensure both screws are level and spaced to match the keyhole centres before hanging.
