This full length gold wall mounted mirror combines generous proportions with a richly detailed ornate frame, making it a confident focal point in any traditionally styled room. One of the styles we see picked most often from our full length mirrors — and it is easy to see why once you take in the craftsmanship up close.
Design & Materials
The frame is built from a hardwood core with casting-resin ornamentation, finished in a warm gold with subtle darker undertones that give the surface a lightly aged, antique character. At each corner, scrolled acanthus-leaf motifs add depth, while a continuous beaded moulding runs along the inner edge, framing the glass with fine texture. Between the corners, smaller shell-and-scroll cartouches sit at the midpoint of each side rail, reinforcing the vintage feel without overwhelming the design. The glass itself is clear and unembellished — no bevel — letting the ornate gold frame do the talking. In our experience, this balance between decorative frame and plain glass keeps the mirror versatile enough to sit alongside both antique furniture and more pared-back contemporary pieces.
Size & Placement
At 198 cm tall and 76 cm wide, this is a genuinely large gold mirror — full length and then some. It delivers a head-to-toe reflection with room to spare, which makes it ideal as a dressing mirror in a bedroom or walk-in wardrobe. The rectangular full length profile also works beautifully leaned against a wall at a gentle angle, since the flat bottom edge sits flush on the floor. Try it in a hallway to open up a narrow space, or position it in a living room beside a sideboard for a touch of vintage grandeur. The frame depth is just 5 cm, so it sits close to the wall without protruding into walkways — worth noting if you are considering a landing or corridor. It can also be hung in landscape orientation above a bed or sofa, acting as an oversized ornate gold statement piece.
Hanging & Installation
Four D-loops are pre-fitted to the back of the frame, positioned to support both portrait and landscape hanging. Line up your wall screws with the centre of each D-loop and hang the mirror directly — do not use string, wire, or chain, as the 20 kg weight needs solid, direct support. For plasterboard or stud walls, use appropriate heavy-duty fixings rated well above the mirror’s weight; for solid masonry, standard rawl plugs and screws will do the job. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included. Given the size, we recommend a two-person lift during installation to hold the mirror steady while marking and fixing.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
