This large silver rectangular wall mirror pairs a generous reflective surface with an understated brushed aluminium frame, giving you the light-enhancing benefits of a sizeable mirror without visual bulk. Part of our Arlington Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our hallway and living-room customers.
Design & Materials
The frame is crafted from aluminium with a fine linear-brushed finish that catches the light softly rather than throwing sharp reflections. At just 1.5 cm wide, it reads almost like an edging strip — enough to contain and protect the glass while letting the mirror itself take centre stage. The overall depth of 1.6 cm keeps the piece close to the wall for a sleek, flush appearance. Clear, unbevelled glass offers faithful reflections and a crisp, modern look that complements both silver framed large mirrors already in a room and contrasting darker furniture. In our experience, this kind of slim metal frame is one of the easiest to work into an existing scheme because it adds brightness without competing with other finishes.
Size & Placement
At 120 cm tall and 80 cm wide, this is a genuinely large rectangular mirror for a wall — tall enough to use as a three-quarter-length check in portrait orientation, and broad enough to serve as a statement overmantle or sofa-back piece in landscape. Portrait, it sits comfortably above a narrow console table in a hallway, reflecting daylight down the length of the space. Landscape, it works well above a sideboard or low media unit in a living room, visually doubling the width of the wall. The flat bottom edge also means you can lean it against a wall on a mantelpiece or shelf if you prefer a relaxed, propped arrangement. Because the frame is so slim, the mirror reads larger than its outer measurements suggest — a useful trick when you want the impact of a modern large wall mirror without taking up extra inches of wall.
Hanging & Installation
Four D-loops are pre-fitted to the back of the frame — two set for portrait and two for landscape — so you can choose your orientation without additional hardware. Position your wall screws to line up with the centre of the corresponding D-loops and hang the mirror directly; do not use string, wire, or chain. At 12 kg, this is a substantial piece. We recommend a two-person lift when positioning it, and advise using fixings rated for your wall type — heavy-duty anchors for plasterboard, standard rawl plugs and screws for solid masonry. Wall fixings are not included.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
