This gold metal framed mirror pairs a generous 120 × 80 cm reflective surface with a pared-back brushed aluminium frame, delivering the kind of quiet sophistication that lifts a room without competing with it. Part of our Arlington Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our living-room and hallway customers.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from aluminium with a warm, brushed gold finish that catches the light with a soft, linear grain rather than a high-shine polish. At just 1.5 cm wide, the surround is deliberately understated — a fine gold border that defines the glass without dominating it. The mirror glass itself is clear and unbevelled, giving you an uninterrupted reflection edge to edge. Steel mounting brackets on the reverse add rigidity across the full span of the frame, keeping everything flat and secure. In our experience, this combination of slim metallic frame and large rectangular glass is particularly effective against neutral or grey-toned walls, where the gold picks up ambient warmth beautifully.
Size & Placement
At 120 cm tall and 80 cm wide, this is a large gold rectangular wall mirror that commands attention without overwhelming a standard room. Hung in portrait orientation, it works well above a console table or sideboard in a hallway, giving you a generous head-to-waist reflection. Flip it to landscape and it becomes a striking alternative to artwork above a sofa or bed — the proportions sit comfortably on a wall section of around 100–120 cm wide. Because the base is flat, you can also lean it portrait-style against a wall for a relaxed, contemporary look. The 2 cm depth keeps it close to the wall whether mounted or leaned, so it won’t intrude into narrow corridors or tight bedroom spaces. If you’re furnishing a modern or minimalist scheme, customers tend to pair this with clean-lined furniture in black, white, or natural oak — the gold frame acts as an accent rather than a theme.
Hanging & Installation
Four D-loops are pre-fitted to the back of the frame, positioned so you can hang this large gold framed wall mirror in either portrait or landscape without any reconfiguration. Simply drive two wall screws at the correct spacing for your chosen orientation and hook the mirror directly onto them — no wire or chain should be used. At 15 kg, we’d recommend a second pair of hands when lifting it into position, particularly if you’re working above furniture. For plasterboard or stud walls, use appropriate cavity fixings rated for the weight; solid masonry walls need standard rawl plugs and screws (not included).
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
