This black metal framed wall mirror pairs a generous 120 × 80 cm reflective surface with a refined slim-line frame, giving you a piece that quietly anchors a room without competing with the rest of your décor. Part of our Arlington Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our hallway and living-room customers.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from aluminium finished in a matte black with a subtle brushed texture visible at close range — not a flat, plastic-looking black, but one with a tactile, lightly grained quality that catches the light along its edges. At roughly 1.5 cm wide, the profile is deliberately restrained: enough to define the mirror’s boundary, slim enough to let the glass do the talking. The corners are mitred cleanly, and the overall effect is contemporary and minimal. The glass itself is clear and unbevelled, delivering a crisp, undistorted reflection. Backed with steel mounting brackets, the construction feels solid and well-assembled for its 12 kg weight.
Size & Placement
At 120 cm tall and 80 cm wide, this is a large black framed mirror that makes a real difference to how a space feels. Hung portrait in a hallway, it gives you a generous head-to-waist view and bounces light through what is often the narrowest part of a home. Mounted landscape above a sideboard or dining table, it creates the impression of a wider, more open room — we often suggest this orientation for living areas where you want to amplify natural light from a nearby window. The rectangular black metal framed mirror shape also suits bedrooms, sitting neatly above a chest of drawers or dressing area. Because the base is flat, you could lean it against a wall on a deep shelf or mantelpiece for a more relaxed, layered look, though at this size wall-mounting is the most secure option. Its plain, modern aesthetic pairs naturally with industrial shelving, Scandinavian-inspired furniture, or pared-back contemporary interiors — anywhere you want a black framed rectangular wall mirror that stays understated.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror arrives fitted with four D-loops on the back, positioned so you can hang it in either portrait or landscape orientation. Line up your wall screws with the centre of the corresponding D-loops and hang directly — do not use string, wire, or chain. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings rated for your wall type (solid masonry, plasterboard, or stud). At 12 kg, we recommend a two-person lift when positioning the mirror, and it is worth having someone hold it in place while you mark your drill points for accurate alignment.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
