This large rectangular gold framed mirror pairs generous proportions with a deliberately restrained design. Part of our Arlington Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our living-room and hallway customers, it lets the gold frame add warmth without competing with the rest of your décor.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from aluminium finished in a warm, brushed gold tone. Up close, the surface shows fine linear striations that catch the light subtly — a textured, satin quality rather than a high-shine polish. At roughly 1.5 cm wide, the frame sits almost flush with the glass, giving the mirror a sleek, pared-back profile that reads as modern and understated. The glass itself is clear and unbevelled, providing a crisp, distortion-free reflection. Steel brackets on the reverse add rigidity to the overall structure, keeping the panel flat and stable over time. We recommend this style when you want a large gold rectangular wall mirror that feels refined without being ornate — it sits just as comfortably in a minimalist scheme as it does alongside warmer, mixed-metal interiors.
Size & Placement
At 174 cm tall and 110 cm wide, this is a genuinely large wall mirror — tall enough to offer a full-length reflection in portrait orientation, and broad enough to serve as an impactful focal point when hung landscape above a console table or sideboard. The depth is just 2 cm, so it stays close to the wall and won’t intrude into walkways. In a hallway, hanging it portrait creates an instant sense of length and light. In a living room or dining area, landscape orientation opens the wall and reflects the room back beautifully. Because the base is flat, you also have the option of leaning it against a wall in a bedroom or dressing area — a look customers tend to pair with low-profile furniture and neutral tones. At 25 kg it has a reassuring solidity without being unmanageable for two people during installation.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror arrives fitted with four D-loops on the back, positioned so you can hang it in either portrait or landscape. Simply line up your wall screws with the centre of each D-loop and hang the mirror directly — no wire, string, or chain should be used. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings appropriate for your wall type; for plasterboard or stud walls, a two-point toggle fixing per loop is advisable. Given the 25 kg weight, we strongly suggest a two-person lift when positioning and mounting.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
