This black framed rectangular mirror pairs a generous 120 cm × 40 cm glass with a slim brushed aluminium frame that stays quietly in the background, letting the reflection do the work. Part of our Arlington Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our hallway and bedroom customers.
Design & Materials
The frame is crafted from aluminium with a brushed black finish — look closely and you’ll see fine linear striations running the length of each rail, giving the surface a tactile, almost industrial texture without any high-shine glare. At roughly 1.5 cm wide and 2 cm deep, the profile is deliberately understated: a crisp rectangular black metal framed mirror that reads as a clean dark border around the glass. The mirror itself is clear and un-bevelled, offering a sharp, undistorted reflection that suits modern and minimalist schemes. Mitred corners are tight and neat, reinforcing the precision feel of the piece.
Size & Placement
At 120 cm tall and 40 cm wide in portrait orientation, this is a practical full-height mirror for narrow wall spaces — think the strip of wall between a bedroom door and wardrobe, or the end of a landing where a wider piece wouldn’t fit. Hung landscape, it becomes a long, low rectangular black framed mirror ideal above a hallway console, a sideboard, or a bathroom vanity unit. We often suggest this for compact bedrooms where you want a head-to-waist check without committing to a full-length leaner. The flat bottom edge also means you can lean it against a wall if you prefer a more relaxed, floor-resting look — useful in a dressing area or walk-in wardrobe. Weighing 10 kg, it is substantial enough to feel well-made yet manageable for most standard wall fixings.
Hanging & Installation
Four D-loops are pre-fitted to the back of the frame — two positioned for portrait hanging and two for landscape — so you can switch orientation to suit your space. Line up your wall screws with the centre of the corresponding D-loops and hang the mirror directly; do not use string, wire, or chain. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings appropriate for your wall type — heavy-duty anchors for plasterboard, standard plugs for brick or masonry. At 10 kg, a two-person lift is not strictly necessary, but a second pair of hands makes levelling far easier.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
