Design & Materials
The frame is built from a hardwood core overlaid with casting resin, giving the ornate corner carvings, scrollwork, and running bead detail real depth. Finished in a warm, satin-sheen gold, the moulding has a softly lustrous surface that sits comfortably alongside both antique furnishings and contemporary pieces. At roughly 6 cm wide, the profile is substantial enough to anchor a large wall yet refined enough not to dominate. The glass is bevelled around all four edges, adding a subtle prismatic border that lifts the overall look. In our experience, this combination of large ornate gold mirror styling and bevelled glass is one of the most versatile formulas for making a space feel grander and brighter.
Size & Placement
At 201 cm tall and 140 cm wide, this is a genuinely large gold wall mirror — proportioned to reflect most of a room in a single glance. Its flat bottom edge means it leans securely against a wall, propped behind a sofa, console table, or at the end of a hallway to draw the eye through the space. It can also be wall-mounted in portrait or landscape — hung landscape above a bed, for instance, or portrait beside a dressing area. The extra large rectangular format works particularly well in rooms with high ceilings where a smaller mirror can look lost. The antique gold finish provides a warm counterpoint to cooler greys and neutrals, while sitting naturally in period properties above a fireplace or between tall sash windows.
Hanging & Installation
Four D-loops are pre-fitted to the back, positioned for either portrait or landscape hanging. Line your wall screws up with the corresponding D-loops and hang directly — do not use string, wire, or chain. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings suited to your wall type. At 35 kg, we recommend a two-person lift when positioning. If you plan to lean the mirror, angle it slightly back and consider a small anti-slip pad beneath the base.
