This ornate full length wall mirror pairs classic proportions with richly carved detailing, finished in a soft ivory tone that sits comfortably alongside both period and contemporary interiors. Drawn from our Monksilver Collection, a line we return to often when customers ask for traditional elegance without heaviness.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from hardwood and casting resin, allowing the ornate detailing to be reproduced with real depth and sharpness. Each corner features a prominent acanthus-leaf cartouche, connected by flowing foliate swags along the top and bottom rails. A fine beaded moulding runs the full inner perimeter, creating a neat border between frame and glass. The ivory paint is lightly antiqued — warm undertones and subtle tonal variation in the recesses give the finish a vintage character without looking artificially aged. Bevelled glass adds a clean, angled edge that catches the light and lends the mirror a quality feel you notice immediately.
Size & Placement
At 170 cm tall and 79 cm wide, this is a generous rectangular full length wall mirror that provides a true head-to-toe reflection. In our experience, this size works particularly well mounted above a console table in a hallway or positioned beside a wardrobe in a bedroom, giving you a dedicated dressing mirror without dominating the room. The flat bottom edge means it can also lean against a wall as a floor-standing piece — resting on carpet or a rug helps prevent it sliding. If you prefer a landscape orientation, the width-to-height ratio creates a striking overmantle-style display above a sofa or sideboard. The ivory finish pairs naturally with shabby chic and vintage décor schemes, and it sits equally well against bold, saturated wall colours or softer neutral tones.
Hanging & Installation
Four D-loops are pre-fitted to the back of the frame, positioned for both portrait and landscape hanging. Align your wall screws with the centre of each D-loop and hang the mirror directly — do not use wire, string, or chain. At 17 kg this is a substantial piece, so we recommend a two-person lift for positioning. Use fixings suited to your wall type: heavy-duty rawl plugs and screws for masonry, or specialist plasterboard anchors for stud walls. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
