This 70cm square wall mirror pairs a frameless silhouette with a precision-cut bevelled edge, creating a piece that feels both understated and polished. Part of our Clovelly Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our living room and hallway customers.
Design & Materials
Without a frame to distract the eye, the mirror glass itself becomes the entire design statement. The bevelled edge — a gentle angled cut around the perimeter — adds a slim border of refracted light that gives the piece definition against the wall. The glass is backed by a sturdy hardwood panel finished with a dark plastic veneer, keeping the profile slim at just 1.6 cm deep. It is a look we often suggest for spaces where you want maximum reflective surface with minimal visual weight: think modern apartments, Scandinavian-leaning schemes, or paired alongside other frameless square mirrors in a grid arrangement.
Size & Placement
At 70 cm × 70 cm, this is a compact yet impactful size — generous enough to reflect meaningful light and open up a room, while remaining proportionate above standard furniture. Position it above a narrow console table in a hallway, centred over a bathroom vanity, or as a feature piece on a dining-room wall. Its square proportions suit symmetrical arrangements particularly well. If you are considering grouping several small square mirrors together for a gallery-style feature wall, this 70 cm format gives each tile genuine presence without the wall feeling crowded. At 7 kg, it is light enough for plasterboard walls with appropriate fixings, yet substantial enough to feel like quality in the hand.
Hanging & Installation
This mirror arrives with two D-loops pre-fitted to the hardwood back panel, aligned vertically for portrait hanging. Install two screws into your wall, spaced evenly to match the D-loop centres, and hang the mirror directly — no wire or chain is needed or recommended. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings appropriate for your wall type: standard rawl plugs for masonry, or specialist plasterboard anchors for stud walls. Because the piece sits flat against the wall, a two-person hang is not essential at this weight, though a second pair of hands always helps with levelling.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
