This gold long mirror pairs a generous 120 × 40 cm glass with a slim brushed aluminium frame that barely whispers at the edge — letting the reflection do the talking. Part of our Arlington Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our bedroom and hallway customers.
Design & Materials
The frame is crafted from aluminium with a warm, brushed gold finish. Up close you can see fine linear grain running through the metal, giving it a subtle texture that reads as contemporary rather than brassy. At roughly 1.5 cm wide, the profile is deliberately minimal — a clean border that defines the glass without competing with it. The mirror glass itself is clear and unembellished, with no bevel, delivering a crisp, undistorted reflection. Steel brackets on the reverse add structural rigidity behind the lightweight aluminium surround, so the whole piece feels reassuringly solid at 10 kg.
Size & Placement
At 120 cm tall and 40 cm wide, this is a genuinely useful long mirror for wall spaces that need a head-to-hip (or near full-length) view without dominating the room. Hung portrait beside a wardrobe or on a bedroom wall, it gives you an outfit check from a comfortable viewing distance. In our experience, narrow mirrors like this also work beautifully in tight hallways or on slim chimney-breast returns where a wider piece simply would not fit. Flip it to landscape and it becomes a striking rectangular gold framed mirror above a console table or sideboard — a modern alternative to a traditional overmantle. Because the base is flat, you can also lean it against a wall for a relaxed, editorial look in a dressing area or spare room. Its modern gold wall mirror aesthetic pairs naturally with brass hardware, warm timber furniture, and neutral palettes, though it holds its own equally well against darker walls and cooler tones.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror arrives fitted with four D-loops on the back, positioned so you can mount it in either portrait or landscape orientation. Simply align your wall screws with the centre of the corresponding D-loops and hang the mirror directly — no wire, string, or chain should be used. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings suited to your wall type: standard plugs for solid masonry, or specialist plasterboard fixings for stud walls. At 10 kg the mirror is manageable for one person, though a second pair of hands makes levelling much easier.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
