This small black framed mirror pairs a clean rectangular silhouette with a barely-there aluminium frame, giving you maximum reflective surface in a compact footprint. Part of our Arlington Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our hallway and living room customers.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from lightweight aluminium finished in a smooth matte black. At just 1.5 cm wide, the surround is deliberately understated — a fine dark border that defines the glass without competing with whatever else is on the wall. The profile is flat and squared-off, sitting flush at only 1.6 cm deep, so the mirror hugs the wall closely rather than projecting outward. Clear, unbevelled glass fills the frame edge to edge, delivering a crisp, undistorted reflection. Steel brackets on the reverse add rigidity to the structure while keeping the overall weight to a manageable 5 kg. In our experience, this kind of minimal black metal framed rectangular mirror is one of the easiest styles to integrate into an existing scheme — it complements modern interiors, industrial-leaning spaces, and even more traditional rooms where you want a contemporary accent.
Size & Placement
At 40 cm high and 60 cm wide (landscape) or 60 cm high and 40 cm wide (portrait), this is a genuinely versatile small rectangular wall mirror. Hung in landscape, it works beautifully above a console table or hallway shelf — wide enough to catch your reflection on the way out without dominating a narrow wall. In portrait, it slots neatly into a cloakroom, en-suite, or beside a front door for a last-minute check. The compact proportions also make it a smart choice for gallery-wall arrangements; group two or three alongside prints or artwork for a layered, curated look. Because the base is flat, you could even lean it on a shelf or mantelpiece for a relaxed, unfixed feel, though wall mounting will always be the most secure option.
Hanging & Installation
Four D-loop brackets are pre-fitted to the back of the frame — two positioned for portrait hanging, two for landscape — so you can choose your orientation without any additional hardware on the mirror itself. Simply position your wall screws to align with the corresponding D-loops and hang the mirror directly onto them. Do not use string, wire, or chain between the brackets. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included; use fixings appropriate for your wall type (solid masonry, plasterboard, or stud). At 5 kg, this is a comfortable one-person hang, but having someone hold the mirror in place while you mark your drill points always makes the job easier and more accurate.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
