A steady performer in our Full Length Mirrors line-up — chosen repeatedly by customers looking for traditional character with a silver finish — this ornate silver full length mirror pairs rich baroque detailing with a generous, room-enhancing scale that suits bedrooms, hallways, and dressing areas alike.
Design & Materials
The frame is crafted from hardwood and casting resin, finished in an antique-effect silver that catches the light with a soft, brushed lustre rather than a flat chrome shine. Each corner carries a bold acanthus-leaf cartouche — the kind of sculpted flourish you would expect on a period piece — while a continuous beaded moulding runs along the inner edge, adding a refined border between frame and glass. The profile is substantial at roughly 6 cm wide, giving the mirror a solid, weighty presence on the wall without tipping into anything overwrought. Clear, unembellished mirror glass keeps the focus on the frame’s decorative detail.
Size & Placement
At 167 cm tall and 76 cm wide, this full length silver wall mirror provides a comfortable head-to-toe reflection for most adults. Hung portrait in a bedroom, it fits neatly beside a wardrobe or in the space between a door and a window; in our experience, this size works particularly well at the end of a narrow landing, where it bounces natural light and makes the corridor feel noticeably wider. If you prefer a more relaxed look, the flat bottom edge means it can lean securely against a wall — propped beside a bedside table, as shown in the lifestyle image, it adds instant character without any drilling. Mount it landscape above a console table or sideboard and you have a large full length decorative mirror that doubles as a striking focal point for a living room or dining area. The rectangular format and antique silver palette sit comfortably alongside both vintage furnishings and cleaner, more contemporary schemes.
Hanging & Installation
This mirror arrives fitted with four D-loops on the back — two positioned for portrait hanging and two for landscape — so you can choose the orientation that suits your space. Simply align your wall screws with the centre of each D-loop and hang the mirror directly; do not use string, wire, or chain. At 15 kg, we recommend a two-person lift when positioning the mirror, and you should ensure your fixings are appropriate for your wall type — plasterboard walls will need specialist anchors, while solid masonry takes standard rawl plugs and screws. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
