This large square wall mirror is a beautifully simple piece that lets light and space do the talking. Part of our Clovelly Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our living room and dining room customers.
Design & Materials
Entirely frameless, this mirror relies on a finely ground bevelled edge to give the glass a subtle sense of depth and finish. The bevel catches light at its perimeter, creating a delicate border effect without the need for a traditional frame. The glass itself is clear and true, backed with a sturdy hardwood and plastic-veneer board that keeps the panel rigid and protects the silvered coating. Viewed from the side, the profile is remarkably slim at just 1.6 cm — it sits almost flush against the wall, which reinforces the minimalist look. In our experience, a frameless square mirror like this pairs effortlessly with both contemporary and mid-century modern interiors, complementing clean-lined furniture without competing for attention.
Size & Placement
At 100 × 100 cm, this is a generous square mirror for wall spaces that benefit from a bold, symmetrical focal point. Above a console table or sideboard in a hallway it reflects the full width of the corridor, making the space feel noticeably wider. In a dining room, position it centrally on the main wall to bounce candlelight across the table in the evenings. It also works well as a large square mirror for wall areas above a fireplace, where its balanced proportions sit naturally between mantel and ceiling. Because the base is flat, you could lean it against a wall on a deep shelf or countertop if wall-fixing isn’t practical, though for a piece of this size we’d suggest wall mounting for everyday use. Weighing 12 kg, it is substantial enough to feel high quality yet light enough for standard plasterboard fixings with the right anchors.
Hanging & Installation
The back of the mirror comes fitted with two D-loop brackets, spaced evenly and aligned for portrait hanging. To install, simply drive two screws into your wall at the same spacing as the D-loop centres and hook the mirror directly onto them — no wire or chain is needed, and the manufacturer specifically advises against using them. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings appropriate for your wall type: standard wall plugs for brick or block, and suitable plasterboard anchors for stud walls. At 12 kg, a two-person lift is sensible when positioning this big square wall mirror.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
