This frameless octagonal wall mirror brings a quietly distinctive shape to any room — eight clean-cut sides that offer something more interesting than a circle or square, yet remain understated enough to pair with almost any décor. Part of our Clovelly Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our living room and hallway customers.
Design & Materials
The Clovelly is a true frameless mirror: there is no visible frame or surround, so the octagonal shape does all the talking. A bevelled edge runs around the full perimeter, adding a gentle light-catching border that gives the piece a refined, polished finish. The glass itself is bright and clear with no tinting or antiquing, and sits on a sturdy hardwood backing board finished in black. At just 1.6 cm deep, the profile is slim, allowing it to sit almost flush against the wall for a modern, uncluttered look. In our experience, bevelled frameless designs like this one work especially well in contemporary and minimalist interiors, though they complement traditional settings just as comfortably.
Size & Placement
At 80 cm high and 80 cm wide, this is a generously sized modern wall mirror without being imposing — large enough to reflect real light and space, compact enough to suit rooms of all proportions. It sits comfortably above a standard sofa or console table, and its symmetrical octagonal outline makes it a natural focal point over a mantelpiece. Because the shape reads as nearly round from a distance, it brings the softness of a circular mirror with a geometric edge that adds character. The flat bottom edge also means it can lean against a wall on a deep shelf or mantel if you prefer not to drill. For hallways, it opens up narrow spaces beautifully, and in a bedroom or dressing area it works well as a wall-mounted alternative to a full-length frameless wall mirror.
Hanging & Installation
This octagonal mirror comes fitted with four D-loop fixings on the back, positioned so you can hang it in portrait orientation. Simply position your wall screws to line up with the centre of the corresponding D-loops, then hang the mirror directly — no wire, string, or chain should be used. At 12 kg, it has a solid, reassuring weight, and we recommend using fixings rated for your wall type (the mirror does not include wall screws or rawl plugs). For plasterboard walls especially, heavy-duty anchors are worth the small extra effort to ensure a secure hold.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
