Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This large white garden mirror pairs a gently arched top with a flat base and a slender steel frame finished in a smooth, clean white. A recent addition to our Somerton Collection range, it was chosen for its ability to blur the boundary between indoor and outdoor style — reflecting greenery and sky to make even a modest courtyard feel more open.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel with a matte white powder-coat finish, giving it a contemporary edge and genuine resilience against the elements. At roughly 2.5 cm wide, the frame is deliberately understated — it traces the arch without competing with whatever the mirror reflects. The glass is clear and unbevelled, set flush within the frame, while a plastic sheet backing board seals the rear to help protect against moisture. Up close, the finish is even and consistent with a very slight sheen: modern and minimal, with no visible joins or welds to break the line. We recommend this style if you want a large modern mirror for your wall that reads as architectural rather than decorative.
Size & Placement
At 140 cm tall and 70 cm wide, this is a genuinely large arch mirror for a wall — big enough to catch a full sweep of planting when mounted on a garden fence or shed panel, yet proportioned well for interior use above a console table or at the end of a narrow hallway. Its flat bottom means you can also lean it against a wall or fence for a relaxed, grounded look without any fixings at all. Outdoors, it works beautifully on a painted timber fence — the white frame picks up brilliantly against dark blues, greens, or charcoal stains. Indoors, customers tend to pair this with pale Scandinavian-style schemes or use the crisp white frame as a contrast against deeper wall colours like sage or navy. Weighing 12 kg and only 3.3 cm deep, it sits close to the wall and stays manageable for two people to position.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror has two keyhole fixings on the back, so you simply hook it onto two screws at the correct spacing. No wire, string, or chain is needed — or recommended. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included; use fixings appropriate to your wall type (masonry anchors for brick, heavy-duty plasterboard fixings for stud walls, or exterior-grade coach screws for fence posts and timber). Given the 12 kg weight and the size of the piece, we suggest a second pair of hands when lifting and aligning it.
