Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This white garden mirror pairs a graceful arch silhouette with pared-back modern lines, letting the reflective glass do the talking. A recent addition to our Somerton Collection range, it was chosen for its ability to sit comfortably against painted fences, rendered walls, and interior plasterwork alike — a genuinely versatile piece.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel with a smooth, matte white powder-coat finish — consistent and even across the entire surround, as the close-up images confirm. At roughly 2.5 cm wide, the profile is deliberately slim, giving the mirror a near-frameless look while still providing structural rigidity. The arch top curves into straight sides that taper to a flat base, creating the classic arched-window outline that we see chosen most often for outdoor settings where a traditional garden gate or chapel-window feel is wanted. A plastic sheet backing board seals the rear, helping to protect the silvering from moisture when the mirror is used outdoors. The glass itself is clear and un-bevelled, offering a crisp, distortion-free reflection.
Size & Placement
At 100 cm tall and 70 cm wide, this arch wall mirror white is a mid-scale piece — large enough to create a genuine sense of openness on a garden fence or patio wall without overwhelming the space. In our experience, a mirror of this size works particularly well mounted at eye level on a boundary fence or against a backdrop of climbing plants, where it can catch sky and foliage to make a compact garden feel larger. The flat bottom edge means it can also lean against a wall if you prefer not to drill — propped on a shelf, mantelpiece, or garden bench for an informal display. Indoors, consider it above a console table in a hallway, over a bedroom chest of drawers, or as a modern white wall mirror focal point in a bathroom. Its metal construction and clean white finish pair naturally with Scandi-inspired interiors, coastal colour palettes, or minimalist modern schemes.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror has two keyhole fixings on the back, so you simply hook it onto two screws — no wire, string, or chain should be used. At 10 kg it is manageable for one person, though having a second pair of hands to hold it in position while you mark drill points makes the job easier. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included; use fixings appropriate to your wall type — standard plugs for masonry, heavy-duty plasterboard anchors for stud walls, or suitable outdoor-rated screws if mounting on a wooden fence. If placing the mirror in an exposed garden position, ensure both fixings are securely anchored to cope with wind load.
