Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This large gold framed wall mirror pairs a generous 140 cm × 70 cm reflective surface with a slim brushed-gold steel frame, creating a piece that feels refined without overpowering its surroundings. A recent addition to our Somerton Collection range, it was chosen for its clean modern profile and dual indoor-outdoor versatility — a shape we reach for when customers want architectural interest with minimal fuss.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from powder-coated steel finished in a warm, brushed gold tone. Up close, the surface has a fine-grained, lightly textured quality rather than a high-gloss polish, which helps it sit comfortably alongside both contemporary and traditional garden settings. At roughly 2.5 cm wide, the frame is deliberately slim — enough to define the arch silhouette without competing with surrounding planting or wall textures. The glass is clear and unbevelled, delivering a crisp, true reflection. A plastic sheet backing board shields the rear from moisture and debris, an important practical detail for any mirror destined for outdoor placement. The overall aesthetic is modern and pared-back: no ornamentation, no scrollwork — just a confident gold arch outline.
Size & Placement
At 140 cm tall and 70 cm wide, this is a large gold mirror for wall mounting that commands attention without overwhelming a space. Outdoors, it works beautifully mounted on a garden wall or fence panel where it can reflect greenery, sky, and natural light to make a courtyard or patio feel larger and more open. Position it at the end of a garden path or between planters for maximum impact. Indoors, the same proportions suit a hallway, above a console table, or on a feature wall in a living room. With a flat bottom edge, the mirror can also be leaned securely against a wall if you prefer not to fix it — useful in a bedroom or dressing area where a large arch gold mirror adds height and elegance. At 12 kg it has a solid, reassuring weight that speaks to the quality of the steel frame.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror has two keyhole fixings on the back — one on each side — so you can simply hook it onto screws already set in the wall. This is a straightforward method that keeps the mirror flush and level. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so please choose fixings suited to your wall type: standard plugs and screws for solid masonry, or specialist plasterboard fixings for stud walls. At 12 kg, we recommend a two-person lift when positioning the mirror, and it is worth having someone hold it in place while you mark your screw points.
