Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This extra large black arch mirror pairs a classic arched silhouette with a clean windowpane grid, creating a piece that feels architectural without overwhelming its surroundings. Part of our Honiton Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our garden and living-space customers.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel with a matte black powder-coat finish — understated, weather-resistant, and easy to keep looking sharp season after season. Thin metal glazing bars divide the mirror face into a grid of rectangular panes, with a smaller arched inner arch sitting inside the top curve to echo the overall shape. The grid is three panes wide, giving the mirror a satisfying sense of symmetry that recalls a traditional Palladian window. Behind the glass, a plastic sheet backing board adds a layer of protection. The glass itself is clear and unbevelled, allowing the grid design to take centre stage. At just 2.5 cm wide, the frame profile stays slim and contemporary — a style we see chosen most often for both modern interiors and traditional garden walls.
Size & Placement
At 190 cm tall and 120 cm wide, this large black arched window mirror commands attention wherever you place it. It is rated for both indoor and outdoor use, so it works beautifully mounted on a garden brick wall — reflecting hedgerows, sky, and planting to create the illusion of a second opening — or propped as a leaner against an interior wall. The flat bottom edge sits flush on the floor, making it stable when leaned in a hallway, dining room, or at the end of a landing. Indoors, we recommend positioning it opposite or beside a window to maximise the light it bounces back into the room. In the garden, a sheltered wall that catches afternoon sun will give the most dramatic reflections. At 25 kg it has real substance, so allow space accordingly — this is a statement piece, not a filler.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror comes fitted with two keyhole fixings on the back, so you simply hook it onto two screws fixed into the wall. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included — use fixings appropriate for your wall type, whether that is masonry, brick, or timber stud. Given the size and 25 kg weight, we strongly recommend two people for lifting and positioning. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this black metal leaner mirror; the keyhole brackets are designed to sit directly onto the screw heads for a secure, flush fit. If you plan to lean it rather than wall-mount it, rest the flat base on a level surface and tilt the top gently toward the wall.
