Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This large gold arch mirror brings the charm of a cathedral window to your garden wall, hallway, or living space. Part of our Honiton Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our garden and interior customers, it pairs a warm gold-finished metal frame with a multi-pane design that catches and scatters light beautifully.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel, powder-coated in a smooth, satin-finish gold that sits closer to a rich mustard-gold than a brassy polished tone. Fifteen individual mirror panels are set within the frame — twelve rectangular panes across the lower body and three shaped sections in the arched crown, including a smaller inner arch that echoes the overall silhouette. The glazing bars are approximately 2.5 cm wide, giving the piece a convincing windowpane look without feeling heavy. A plastic sheet backing board seals the rear, and the glass itself is clear and un-bevelled for a clean, undistorted reflection. In our experience, this style of arched gold wall mirror works with a surprisingly wide range of décor, from modern minimalist rooms to more traditional Victorian-inspired settings.
Size & Placement
At 120 cm tall and 80 cm wide, this is a genuinely large arch gold mirror — substantial enough to become a focal point yet proportioned to sit comfortably above a standard console table or mantelpiece. Outdoors, it excels mounted against a brick or rendered garden wall, reflecting greenery and sky to create the illusion of an extra window. Position it opposite a planted border or at the end of a narrow courtyard and it instantly opens up the space. Indoors, a hallway, dining room, or living room wall all suit it well. The flat bottom edge means it can also lean against a wall on a shelf or mantel if you prefer not to fix it permanently. Because it is rated for both indoor and outdoor use, you can move it between spaces as the seasons change — we often suggest starting it in the garden for summer, then bringing it inside through winter.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror comes fitted with two keyhole fixings on the back, so you simply hook it onto two screws driven into your wall — no wire, string, or chain should be used. At 12 kg, it is manageable for two people to lift into position, and we recommend having a second pair of hands to hold it level while you mark your drill points. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included; choose fixings appropriate to your wall type — standard rawl plugs for masonry, or suitable plasterboard anchors for stud walls. If mounting outdoors, stainless-steel or weather-resistant screws will help prevent rust staining around the fixing points over time.
