Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This gold metal arch garden mirror pairs a clean arched silhouette with a warm brushed-gold finish, creating a piece that feels contemporary yet timeless. A recent addition to our Somerton Collection range, it was chosen for its weather-resistant construction and its ability to work just as comfortably on a living room wall as on an exterior brick or rendered surface.
Design & Materials
The frame is made from steel with a brushed gold finish that has a subtle, lightly textured grain — not a high-shine polish, but a soft metallic warmth that catches light without glare. In our experience, this kind of satin-brushed tone sits more naturally alongside garden planting and natural stone than a mirror-bright gold would. The frame profile is slim at roughly 2.5 cm wide, keeping the emphasis on the glass itself. A flat base and a gracefully curved arch top give it an architectural quality that nods to classical doorway and window shapes without any ornate detailing. The glass is clear and unbevelled, backed by a plastic sheet board for weather protection. The overall look is modern and minimal — a large arch gold mirror that lets its shape and finish do the talking.
Size & Placement
At 120 cm tall and 60 cm wide, this is a generously sized wall mirror that makes a genuine visual impact without overwhelming its surroundings. Mounted on a garden wall or fence, it reflects greenery and sky to create the illusion of extra depth — we often suggest this for courtyard gardens and smaller paved areas where that sense of openness is especially welcome. Because it is rated for both indoor and outdoor use, it transitions easily to a hallway, above a console table, or as a modern large wall mirror in a living space. The flat bottom edge means it can also lean against a wall if you prefer that relaxed, floor-propped look. At 3.3 cm deep and 12 kg, it has enough solidity to feel well-made without being unwieldy.
Hanging & Installation
Two keyhole fixings are pre-fitted to the back of the frame — one on each side — so hanging is straightforward: simply drive two screws into your wall at the correct spacing and hook the mirror on. Do not use string, wire, or chain; the keyhole system is designed to hold the mirror flush and secure. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings appropriate for your wall type — solid masonry anchors for brick or stone, and suitable cavity fixings if you are mounting on a stud wall or plasterboard. At 12 kg, a two-person lift makes positioning easier and reduces the risk of accidental damage during installation.
