Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This black arch garden mirror combines a classic arched silhouette with a bold industrial window-pane grid, creating a piece that feels both architectural and decorative. Drawn from our Honiton Collection — a line we return to often when customers ask for robust, versatile outdoor mirrors — it brings depth and reflected greenery to garden walls while looking just as striking in a living room or hallway.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel, finished in a smooth matte black that sits closer to a deep charcoal under certain light. It has a clean, lightly rounded profile approximately 2.5 cm wide, with neat welds and a consistent satin-matte texture throughout. The grid divides the mirror into rectangular panes across the lower section, while the arched top features a decorative fanlight motif — a half-circle of radiating glazing bars that gives the piece its period-inspired character. The glass itself is clear and unbevelled, with a plastic sheet backing board for weather resistance. In our experience, the matte black finish pairs naturally with both modern industrial interiors and traditional brick or stone garden walls, making this a genuinely versatile piece.
Size & Placement
At 160 cm tall and 91 cm wide, this is a full-length arch mirror with real presence. It stands tall enough to serve as a large black arch floor mirror when leaned against a wall — the flat bottom edge sits flush on the floor, so it rests securely without a stand. In the garden, mount it on a brick or rendered wall to create the illusion of a window opening onto another space; it catches sky and foliage beautifully, especially when framed by climbing plants. Indoors, it works well above a console table in a hallway, as a black metal leaner mirror in a living room corner, or as a modern large wall mirror in a dining area. The 4 cm depth keeps it close to the wall without looking bulky. Because it is rated for both indoor and outdoor use, you can move it seasonally — garden feature in summer, statement piece indoors through winter.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror comes fitted with three keyhole fixings on the back, so you simply hook it onto screws already driven into your wall — no wire, string, or chain is needed. At 25 kg, this is a substantial piece; we recommend a two-person lift for positioning, and you should use fixings appropriate to your wall type. For solid brick or stone (common with garden walls), standard rawl plugs and heavy-duty screws will do the job. For plasterboard or stud walls indoors, use specialist plasterboard anchors rated for the weight. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings suited to your specific wall. If leaning rather than hanging, rest the flat base on a stable, level surface and tilt the top gently back against the wall.
