Built for the garden, loved indoors too
This arch black wall mirror combines a classic window-pane silhouette with a decorative sunburst fan at its crown, creating a focal point that works just as well against weathered stone as it does above a living-room sofa. Part of our Honiton Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our garden and interior customers alike.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel with a smooth matte black powder-coat finish — understated enough to blend into modern schemes yet with enough architectural character to complement Victorian and period-style interiors. A grid of rectangular panes runs the length of the mirror, topped by a half-circle sunburst motif with radiating glazing bars that catch the eye without overwhelming the design. The glass itself is clear and non-bevelled, giving clean reflections across every pane. A plastic sheet backing board seals the rear, helping to protect the mirror from moisture when used outdoors. In our experience, this style of multi-pane frame reads as a window illusion on a garden wall, creating the impression of depth and space in enclosed courtyards or along boundary walls.
Size & Placement
At 129 cm tall and 76 cm wide, this is a large black arch mirror that commands attention without needing an enormous expanse of wall. Outdoors, it sits comfortably on a brick or rendered wall between climbing plants, reflecting greenery and sky to make a compact garden feel more open. Indoors, try it above a console table in a hallway, over a fireplace in a period lounge, or as a modern large wall mirror in an open-plan kitchen-diner. The frame depth is just 4.5 cm, so it sits relatively flush. Because the base is flat, you also have the option of leaning it against a wall at floor level for a relaxed, contemporary look — useful if you prefer not to drill into a feature wall.
Hanging & Installation
Three keyhole fixings are fitted to the back, so the mirror simply hooks onto screws fixed into your wall — no wire or chain is needed or recommended. At 12 kg it is manageable for two people to lift into position. For solid masonry or brick, standard rawl plugs and screws will do the job; for stud or plasterboard walls, use appropriate cavity fixings rated above the mirror’s weight. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings suited to your wall type. If you’re mounting this large black metal mirror in the garden, stainless-steel or zinc-plated screws will resist corrosion over time.
