Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This black large mirror wall piece combines a clean arch silhouette with weather-resistant construction, making it one of the most versatile designs in our range. A recent addition to our Somerton Collection, it was chosen for its ability to sit comfortably in both contemporary interiors and outdoor garden spaces without compromising on style.
Design & Materials
The frame is steel, finished in a smooth matte black that gives it a refined, understated presence. At just 2.5 cm wide, the frame is deliberately slim — enough to define the arch shape without competing with the mirror glass or surrounding décor. A subtle stepped profile along the inner edge adds a touch of detail that catches the light at close range, lifting the design beyond a purely flat surround. The glass itself is clear and unbevelled, delivering a crisp, undistorted reflection. Behind the glass, a plastic sheet backing board protects the silvering and adds rigidity to the overall build. It is a large black metal mirror that pairs naturally with modern furniture, exposed brickwork, and muted colour palettes, though we also see it chosen for lighter Scandi-style rooms where it provides a grounding contrast.
Size & Placement
Measuring 120 cm high, 60 cm wide, and 3.3 cm deep, this black wall mirror is large enough to serve as a focal point without dominating the space. Indoors, it works particularly well in hallways, above a console table, or as a modern large wall mirror in a living room where you want to bounce light without overloading the wall. Hung in a bathroom, the arch shape brings an architectural quality that square mirrors simply cannot match. Because it is rated for outdoor use, it also makes a striking garden mirror — mounted on a rendered wall, a fence panel, or among climbing plants to create the illusion of depth and light. With a flat bottom edge, you can lean it against a wall at floor level for a relaxed, modern feel; in our experience, leaning an arch mirror against a brick or painted wall is one of the easiest ways to add character to an otherwise bare corner.
Hanging & Installation
Two keyhole fixings are pre-fitted to the back — one on each side — so installation is straightforward: simply drive two screws into the wall at the correct spacing and hook the mirror onto them. At 14 kg, this is a substantial piece; we recommend a two-person lift when positioning it on the wall, and using fixings rated for your wall type. Solid masonry walls will take standard rawl plugs and screws, while plasterboard or stud walls need appropriate cavity fixings to support the weight safely. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so have them ready before you start. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror — the keyhole system is designed for a direct, flush mount that keeps the frame sitting cleanly against the wall.
