Built for the garden, loved indoors too
This gold arch leaner mirror brings a warm, luminous accent to any setting — indoors or out. A recent addition to our Somerton Collection range, it was chosen for its clean arch silhouette and versatile indoor-outdoor construction, making it one of the more adaptable extra large mirrors we stock.
Design & Materials
The frame is a slim steel channel finished in a high-gloss gold that catches and amplifies natural light. At roughly 2.5 cm wide, it outlines the arch shape without competing with the mirror glass — a profile we often suggest for modern interiors where you want the reflection to do most of the talking. The finish is smooth and polished rather than brushed or antiqued, giving it a contemporary edge that sits comfortably alongside warm metallics such as brass hardware or gold-tone lighting. Behind the clear mirror glass, a rigid plastic-sheet backing board adds protection and stability, while the steel construction ensures the frame stays true over time, even when used outdoors.
Size & Placement
At 190 cm tall and 120 cm wide, this is a genuinely extra large mirror — scaled to make an impact. A flat bottom edge means it leans securely against a wall, which is how most customers use a large gold mirror of this size: propped at the end of a hallway, beside a console table, or anchoring a bedroom wall. Leaning it at a slight angle also tilts the reflection upward, drawing the eye to the ceiling and amplifying the sense of height in the room. Because this mirror is rated for outdoor use, it works brilliantly mounted on a garden wall — reflecting borders, trees, or sky to create the illusion of a second space beyond the boundary. Position it where it will catch the most daylight for maximum effect. Indoors, it pairs naturally with other modern or metal-framed furnishings, and the gold tone complements neutral schemes, rich greens, and deep navy walls alike.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror comes fitted with two keyhole fixings on the back, so wall mounting is straightforward — simply hook the fixings over two screws set at the correct spacing. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included; use fixings rated for your wall type (solid masonry, brick, or a suitable heavy-duty plasterboard fitting). At 25 kg, this is a substantial piece, so we recommend a two-person lift when positioning it. If you prefer the leaner look rather than wall mounting, rest the flat bottom edge on the floor and tilt the mirror gently back against the wall — the weight and wide base keep it stable.
